One of the coaching staff came home early from a practice session to find the team doctor in bed with his wife.

'What the hell do you think you're doing?' he stormed. Im ... er ... I'm . . . taking your wife's temperature,' stammered the medic.

'Right!' said the coach. 'I hope for your sake that thing's got numbers on it when you take it out!'
